Day Breaks
We have always had great responses to our day breaks. Wouldnt it be nice to just get away for a day and there’s no better way than on our popular breaks. It’s very surprising how many of us have never visited some of our counties local attractions.......there’s no better time to change that.
GIANTS CAUSEWAY
3rd July & 4th August:
Today we travel through Limavady, Coleraine, Ballymoney, Ballycastle passing by Carrick - A - Rede Rope Bridge onto the Giants Causeway followed by a visit to the Bushmills Distillery. Carvery lunch will be served before returning home
LAMASS FAIR
30th & 31st August:
Today we are off to the Auld Lamass Fair in Ballycastle. It’s one of the oldest fairs in Ireland and has been held without interruption for more than three centuries. We will have a full day at the show. Then we will return home stopping for our dinner before arriving back in Letterkenny late evening.
WEST DONEGAL
21st August
Today it’s off to beautiful West Donegal. Our first stop will be Glenveagh National Park where we will visit the Castle, we continue our journey through Muckish mountain to the villages of Falcarragh and Gortahork. From here we head for Bloody Foreland and sample the majestic views.
DONEGAL TOWN
17th July
We depart Letterkenny for Donegal Town. We take a trip on Donegal Bay on the Water Boat. Afterwards we will travel to Killybegs, Glencolmcille, Glengesh Pass, Ardara and stopping then at Fintown railway. Included a short journey along the railway line.
OMAGH
24th July
We are off to the Ulster American Folk Park today. A museum that tells the story of emigration from Ulster to America. From here we will travel through Irvinestown, along Lough Erne passing Doa Island on route to Beleek Pottery.
INISHOWEN
31st July & 28th August:
It’s to the Inishowen Peninsula today taking in Burnfoot, Muff, Carndonagh before arriving at Doagh Island Famine Village, presenting life as it was in the area during the famine and the progress to the present day. Then it’s onto Clonmany, Drumfries and Tullyarvan Mill, Vintage & Classic Car Museum.
KNOCK
7th August:
Today we are off to Ireland’s National Marian Shrine in Knock. The story of Knock began when Our Lady, St Joseph and St. John of Evangelist appeared at the south gable of Knock Parish Church. We will have free time before our return home again. We have also arranged lunch during the day.
